About the Opportunity
Knauf Australia now has an exciting full-time opportunity for a Graduate Engineer to join their team in Matraville, Sydney.
Not an office-bound role, you'll also be working right in the heart of the action, spending around 25% of your time on the shop floor. Reporting to the Operations Director, you'll be responsible for the early detection of quality issues, troubleshooting and resolving production or field customer complaints, and generally providing technical expertise and advice.
You will be working across a variety of programs, projects and responsibilities, from continuous improvement activities to safety leadership, and working with Knauf staff from all areas of the business, from production operators to supervisors, managers and directors.
Who is Knauf Looking For?
To be considered for this role you will hold a degree in Engineering or similar, ideally in Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial engineering.
Experience in the manufacturing industry isn't essential, provided you're friendly, a strong team player and can demonstrate a passion for innovation, with a real 'get up and go' attitude.
Knauf is looking for someone who has an inquisitive nature and is not afraid to question existing processes if they need improvement. You will be dedicated when it comes to product innovation and will strive to, and have the ability to, create changes that will meet world class standards and develop the plant internally.
Self-motivated and a natural problem solver, your strong attention to detail and accuracy, mixed with your ability to achieve results within tight timeframes, will be key to your success.
You will be comfortable working collaboratively and autonomously, and have the strong communication skills needed to effectively translate technical information, adapting your approach to each individual.
